For a car so stunning and elegant, I have few words. Perched upon the green of the 2017 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, the ’67 Ferrari 412 P Competizone was simply unparalleled. I’ve crossed paths with many cars at this point, many on the green and more on the tarmac. Some I love, some I loathe, and of course, best of all, I have my personal favorites. No car, though, has captured my adoration in such a way as the 412 P. It’s neither a favorite nor preference; cars of the 60s often fail to captivate me in ways cars of later eras seem to. I can say though, with utmost confidence, that it is perhaps the most beautiful car I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to see. Its lines are one-of-a-kind, and its form, graceful and poised, unlike any machine I’ve seen before or since.
